Osteospermum Ecklonis Sky And Ice. An absolutely delightful plant, also referred to as ‘African Daisy’, these glistening white daisies have strongly contrasting steel-blue centres and dark glossy green foliage. Blooms are 2-3″ wide on compact 12-15″ high plants will bloom their hearts out from July to October. Plants are multi-branched and maintain their compact, bushy shape without pinching.

Suitable for: Pots or borders in moderately fertile well-drained soil in full sun.

Flowering time: Summer.

Height and Spread: 40-50cm x 40-50cm (16-20in x 16-20in).

Care: Deadhead to prolong flowering and water regularly in dry seasons applying a balanced fertiliser weekly.

Before packaging for dispatch, we water the plant and wrap the roots in a tissue to retain moisture, the plants are then pack in a blister pack container. We pack them as ready for collection by the courier the same day, reducing the length of time that the plants are in the packaging.

What to do next

When the plants arrive, check their condition, and remove from the packaging. Allow the plant time to recover by placing in a warm greenhouse or window in your home, if the plant requires moisture add water. After a couple of days the plant can be potted on to the next pot size, allowing the plant to develop.

Remember, the plants have been grown in a warm greenhouse and will have not been exposed to temperatures below 6 degrees. Its important that the plant continues to grow in a similar environment, many plants will struggle if exposed to temperatures below Zero and will need protecting against this.
