Description

Coriander, also sometimes known as cilantro, is an annual herb that produces tangy leaves and aromatic seeds, widely used in many dishes, especially in Mexican and Asian cuisines.

Suitable for: Plant in full sun in a rich light soil. Ideal for tubs and pots

Flowering time: Mid to late Summer.

Height and Spread. Up to 60cm (24in).

Care: Water well before planting and until established.

Culinary Uses: Widely used in Asian and Middle Eastern dishes. Use fresh leaves in salads, curries, sauces or as a garnish. The seeds are used in curries, to flavour meat and poultry and in cakes, breads and biscuits.

Delivery information

Before packaging for dispatch, we water the plant and wrap the roots in a tissue to retain moisture, the plants are then pack in a blister pack container. We pack them as ready for collection by the courier the same day, reducing the length of time that the plants are in the packaging.

What to do next

When the plants arrive, check their condition, and remove from the packaging. Allow the plant time to recover by placing in a warm greenhouse or window in your home, if the plant requires moisture add water. After a couple of days the plant can be potted on to the next pot size, allowing the plant to develop.

Remember, the plants have been grown in a warm greenhouse and will have not been exposed to temperatures below 6 degrees. Its important that the plant continues to grow in a similar environment, many plants will struggle if exposed to temperatures below Zero and will need protecting against this.
